"The King Of Country Blues"

Joe Kidd Baker, was born in Trenton, Michigan, to Norman R. and Willie Menyon "Ma Ma Joe" Baker. He was Raised on a great menu of Blues, R & B, Rock, Country, and Gospel music. Joe's Uncle was a Baptist Minister who shared with Joe his particular brand of Southern Gospel favorites. Joe was destined at an early age to make his mark in the world of music when at the age of two, he was singing along with Hank William's to "Hey Good Looking", and was performing on a professional level by the time he reached the age of twelve. Joe is proud to be the only one of the Baker children to graduate High School. He, also, went on to take a limited amount of Community College courses, at Monroe Community College in the State of Michigan. When Joe was in his elementary years. in school he began small concerts at schools, private parties, and Churches. In the early seventies Joe was the lead singer for the world touring rock group, "Frijid Pink". "Frijid Pink", took the Animals 1964 release of "House Of The Rising Sun", and in 1971 put out their own hard rock version, that skyrocketed to number one. Since that time Joe has had the honor of performing with some of Histories Musical Greats such as, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, Deep Purple, James Gang/Joe Walsh, Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nugent, Ritchie Havens, Lightning Slim, Tom Jones, and Many more... Joe's interests are swimming, cooking outdoors, traveling, spending time with family, music, and art. Joe is also a big Animal Lover, as well as a Great Performer!
