shows on the road with some of the legends in country music including, Jack
Greene!!

A YGCMA Alumnus That Makes Us Proud
Candi
is an 18 year old country music singer from Lansing, Michigan. She's became a
member of Young Guns Country Music Association when she was only 13. She is
currently touring with Grand Ole Opry Star, Jack Greene. She has, also, landed
herself some serious management with Lee-Ann Lallone.
In
Candi's own words: "When I was 3 years old I wrote my own song and performed it at my church as a solo. I can still remember the applause. From
that point on I knew I wanted to sing."
Candi has entered many singing
contest. And it isn't unusual for her to take first place, even in Music City,
USA. Competing against more than 300 contestants over 10 weeks of grueling
competition, Candi regularly had the club jumping, and emerged as the Grand
Prize winner in the Broken Spoke talent contest.
Some of her major influences are Jack Greene, Ernest Tubb,
Jeanie Seely, Billy Walker, Wynonna, Patsy Cline & Patsy Montana. She has often
been compared to Wynonna, and Patsy Montana.

message from Jerry Mac:
In the summer of 1999 Barbara Jean
& I were doing shows on an outside stage on Music Valley Drive across from
The Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. During this time Candi and her mom
& dad were in town to meet with well known Country Entertainer, Allen
Frizzell. Barbara Jean & I were very pleased to spend some quality time with
this extremely nice family. It was my pleasure introducing Candi on stage to
the country fans that come from all over the world to hear good country music.
Candi did not let them down. Off stage Candi was very "bubbly"
(Barbara Jean's word meaning very enthusiastic). On stage she was definitely a
crowd pleaser. She really stood the listeners on their ears when she sang
"I Want To Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart". Candi is 18 now, and is headed
for bigger and better things, but to us, she will always be a Young Gun.
