The Country Music Planet
Dean Holmen was born on July 12th, 1959 in Madison, WI. He started
playing guitar and drums at the age of 10, and started
his first Band in 1972 (Black Diamond / 50s-60s music). Dean’s love for
traditional country music lead him to start a new band in 1973 playing
country music. In 1974 Dean started playing school dances and local jobs
until he joined the US ARMY in 1977. While serving in the Army at Ft.
Campbell, KY, Dean joined a band (Lee & Country Drifters) in
Clarksville TN. Dean was sent over to Germany in 1978 and started
playing with the Army Recreational Band. He was on special duty
assignment to play at NCO and O clubs all over Germany. In late 1979
Dean was sent back to Clarksville, TN. Dean started playing with the
band, Country Stardust. He played clubs all over Tennessee. In late 1981
Dean was released from the Army and moved back to his home state of
Wisconsin. He started playing with local bands throughout the mid west.
In 1984 Dean joined Silver Wings Band. He played and recorded his first
record in 1985 with Silver Wings Band. CDS |
