   Nashville, TN (January 5, 2004) - After enjoying a "Cinderella" year in 2003, the New Year is already shaping up to be even bigger and better for the talented Acoustic/Roots duo The MICKEYS.
   Features in Country Weekly, CMA Close Up, Country Music Switzerland and numerous other syndicated radio and Web shows propelled The MICKEYS to the forefront of the country music scene in 2003. Their debut CD, finding our way, enjoyed enormous success as did their single releases "Smoke & Mirrors" and "Old Kentucky Wind" (which hit the #1 spot on the European Independent Country Chart in November 2003). The song held the top spot for two consecutive weeks and remained high on the chart more than three months. The twins enjoyed additional chart success on the Americana Music Chart and the Progressive Country Chart, and the duo’s Website (www.themickeys.net) receives an astonishing average of 50,000 hits per month. The MICKEYS have indeed found their way.
   On Thursday, Jan 22 (3 p.m. CST), BBC Radio 2 will broadcast host Bob Harris’ interview with The MICKEYS. Taped in Nashville during last year’s CMA Week, the segment features performances of The MICKEYS "Old Kentucky Wind," as well as "Before You’re Home."    China’s SOUND OF COUNTRY National TV show will rebroadcast a special feature with The MICKEYS on January 17-18. This airing includes never-before-seen footage from the duo’s Dixie Wire "un-video," shot by Nashville cinematographer Ed Fussell.
   MAVERICK magazine (UK) will feature an exclusive interview with The MICKEYS in the February issue.
   TED CLARK COUNTRY Syndicated radio show will air a MICKEYS’ special during month of January in 13 countries.
   The biggest news for the twins’ Euro fans is the announcement of a February "mini-tour" of Germany. The tour kicks off with a performance at the Ninth International Country Music Messe in Berlin, Saturday, February 7. A complete itinerary will be released soon.

Makes It To The Regional Finals in Nashville Star

   The search has begun to find the 10 lucky contestants who will compete in the new season of the hit USA Network Original Series Nashville Star. One talented winner will land a recording contract with Sony Music Nashville.
   Casey makes it to the Regional Finals in Nashville Star which will take place on January 11, 2004 in Los Angeles.
   Casey says "It's been a great ride so far. If nothing else should come of this, I can honestly say that I am very happy that I had the opportunity to try out for this competition and meet some very nice people. This has been a wonderful experience for me.  I've had a lot of fun!"

   Casey Simpson started singing before she started school.  She has performed for audiences since the age of 10. She recorded a song for the Rugrats Movie which was released Christmas, 2002.  Casey has had the privilege of singing the National Anthem on several occasions for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Sparks at the Staples Center.  She performs concerts for several charity events such as the Mickey Jones CHOC Ride & Blues Festival, Cruisin’ For–A-Cure, LEMA (Law Enforcement Motorcycle Association), and American Cruisers (Cruisers 4 Kids).  Casey performs concerts at numerous events each year such as LA Country Fair, Ventura County Fair, LA Marathon, Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon Race, Long Beach Marathon, and for In-N-Out Burger events.  Casey has sung the National Anthem at the Great Western Forum, Arrowhead Pond, Long Beach Arena, Irwindale Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway and The California Classic Auto Fest at California Speedway.  She has had the honor of opening a Willie Nelson and Travis Tritt concert with the National Anthem.
   With her talent receiving wider recognition with each performance, Casey has been asked to sing at many charitable programs, community events, and showcase presentations, often with repeat invitations.  She is always well received, and has gratefully accepted many awards for her performances.
